Who is Ocrs:

Oregon collision repairers have announced the creation of the Oregon Collision Repair Specialists, a statewide group that has become the latest affiliate of the national Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS).
“Our state has a long history of being at the forefront of the Collision Industry trends, and for being progressive in addressing industry issues,” said Edward Dahm, executive director of the new association. “The Oregon Collision Repair Specialists will continue that tradition by being a strong voice for consumer and repairer rights, consumer and repairer education, and free market practices in our industry.”
Dahm said the Oregon Collision Repair Specialists will offer legislative and educational support for Oregon shops interested in joining increasing efforts around the country at “responsible push-back” against trends that could lead to diminished repair standards or service for Oregon consumers.
“Leaders in our industry around the state see this new organization as an important step in helping our trade create fair and equitable business practices in the collision industry to benefit our customer, the driving public,” Dahm said. “Our affiliation with SCRS will help us keep Oregon shops in step with what’s happening nationally, and our local focus will help us make a real difference for shops here in Oregon.”
Dahm, a collision repairer himself for 40 years, is a former executive director of the Oregon Autobody Craftsman Association and one of the co-executive directors and collision director of Northwest Automotive Trades Association. He has also served on the national boards of the SCRS and the National Auto Body Council.
